Trosè

This wine comes from Uva di Troia grapes vinified in rosè, hence its name.
It has intense aromas of violets, fresh berries and spices. It is fresh and structured on the palate too.
It pairs best with aperitifs, shellfish, salmon, white meats and cheese aged under the grape marcs.

HISTORY OF THE NERO DI TROIA GRAPE VARIETY
“The origins of the grape are not certain, but certain is the link with the city of Troy.
From the legend that tells Diomede landed on the Gargano shores bringing this vines, which have found their natural habitat there, to history telling us that Frederick II of Swabia loved to taste of the “full-bodied wine of Troy”, up to the Marquis D’Avalos who purchased the town in 1533, and noted the absolute quality and attitude of the surrounding land, increasing considerably the cultivation of this grape. […]
It’s long been a variety relegated to a secondary role, to strengthen weaker wines with its tough body and color. Only recently it started to receive the proper recognition, because it was shown that making wine with this variety alone, the results are absolutely precious. ”
